Carbon Monoxide Safety Program
The Victorian Building Authority, Energy Safe Victoria and Master Plumbers are today launching an extensive carbon monoxide safety program.
To ensure all 21,000 Victorian registered or licensed gasfitters and Type A Servicing plumbers know how to conduct a carbon monoxide spillage test and understand the effect of negative air pressure on the safe operation of a gas appliance, we invite you and your apprentices to attend this free training program, to be held in Melbourne and 10 regional centres across Victoria.
Experts from the Master Plumbers will be on hand at each session to discuss the latest information and procedures for carbon monoxide spillage testing and gas appliance maintenance.
The sessions will be run in the evening and every participant will receive take-away information.
The VBA, ESV and Master Plumbers are providing this training program to all participants free of charge, and strongly encourage you to attend your nearest session.
Training sessions will be held in Bairnsdale, Wodonga, Shepparton, Traralgon, Mildura, Bendigo, Ballarat, Horsham, Warrnambool, Geelong and Melbourne.
If you have already attended a Master Plumbers training session on carbon monoxide testing in 2018, you do not need to attend this training session, but are welcome.
Attending one of the Safety Program’s training sessions will be a vital first step towards successfully completing an upcoming online training module and examination later this year.
