ABCB Survey now open: Common class 2 and 3 building fire safety performance solutions
Wednesday, 31 August 2016
The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) is currently undertaking a holistic review of the National Construction Code' s (NCC) fire safety provisions for Class 2 and 3 buildings. A survey on common Class 2 and 3 building fire safety performance solutions is now open for feedback.
The purpose of this survey is to gather information on the use of Performance Solutions relating to fire safety in Class 2 and 3 buildings. There may be opportunity to incorporate commonly used Performance Solutions into the NCC's Deemed-to-Satisfy (DtS) provisions.
This survey is directed at industry practitioners who commonly use performance based design for fire safety solutions, specifically building surveyors and fire engineers. The survey closes on 20 September and can be accessed here.
