VBA at the Melbourne Homeshow
Wednesday August 31 2016
The Melbourne Home Show is one of Melbourne's biggest home maker and renovator events drawing tens of thousands of idea seekers together. "To assist the VBA in building confidence for the whole building industry, it's important for our staff to talk directly to builders, plumbers and consumers" said VBA Chief Executive Officer, Prue Digby. "This year also saw VBA working closely with our partners at Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) and Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) as part of a Victorian Government branded stand".
Delivering a key goal for the organisations to work more closely together, the stand provided a single information point for Home Show visitors on building and renovating regulatory matters. Visitors to the stand also got a first look at a newly developed Building Tool - an online consumer information service developed by the VBA, CAV and VMIA. The Building Tool has been designed to assist people in navigating the wealth of information relating to building and renovating across the VBA, CAV and VMIA websites and will be officially launched later this year.
