The Victorian Coalition Government has announced 36 red tape cutting reforms to boost productivity and reduce costs for Victorian businesses.

Building regulation amendments to boundary walls

Amendments have been made to the minimum setback and average height standards for boundary walls not requiring a planning permit.

be increased from 3.0 to 3.2 metres under the reform. The maximum height of boundary walls is unchanged at 3.6 metres. Neighbours will be notified of any application to exceed boundary wall average or maximum heights, as per existing requirements.
