If you receive a payment claim under the SOP Act, you are liable to pay the full amount claimed, unless you give the claimant a payment schedule within 10 business days of receiving the claim.
The payment schedule must explain any difference between what was claimed and what you are prepared to pay.
In the event of a dispute, the claimant may apply for adjudication or apply to a court to enforce payment.
