If you are operating a building business structure that operates as a partnership, the VBA will need to be satisfied that all members of your partnership are fit and proper to practise as registered building practitioners.
As part of the application or renewal process, each partner will be required to:
- Complete the Partner’s Declaration form
- Complete a national police check (details on this process and link to our police check provider are in the Partner’s Declaration form)
If any member of your partnership has been insolvent, under administration or a director, secretary or influential person of a company that was in external administration, within two years before the company went into external administration, they will need to complete an External Administration Declaration form (PDF, 1297.51 KB).
