Building Surveyors’ Conference 2020
In an industry where the business of building is constantly in flux, the VBA’s Building Surveyors’ Conference 2020 will provide you with the tools necessary to navigate a changing world. Advances in construction methods, fire safety and sustainability offer renewed opportunities for regulatory reform, rebuilding consumer confidence and revitalising the industry. By changing together, we can create a safer built environment for all Victorians.
The conference is an opportunity to hear from industry experts, observe informative panel discussions, network with industry peers and participate in your choice of breakout session. We encourage you to register your attendance early to secure your first preference of breakout session.
The VBA takes great pleasure in welcoming back Bronwyn Weir who will both MC the conference and facilitate the day's proceedings.
We’re also very pleased to announce that Professor José L. Torero will be the keynote speaker for the conference. Head of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at University College London, Professor Torero works in the fields of safety, environmental remediation and sanitation. He was part of the investigation into the collapse of the World Trade Center in 2001 and is currently serving in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
Buy a raffle ticket on the day to raise much-needed funds for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal. The prize will be a hamper of items from ‘Spend with Them’, a campaign helping rebuild towns and businesses affected by the recent bushfires.
Registration to attend the conference has now closed.
However we will be live streaming the conference to allow everyone to participate. If you would like to access the live stream, please register and select the streaming option. A link will be forwarded on the day allowing you to view the conference online.
