Visit the VBA at the HIA Home Show for information and advice about building and plumbing

Visitors to the 2017 HIA Home Show will be able to tap into the expert knowledge and advice of Victoria's building and plumbing regulator, the Victorian Building Authority (VBA).

The HIA Home Show is one of Victoria's biggest home maker and renovator events, attracting tens of thousands of people looking for inspiration for their new home or renovation as well as information to ensure they remain compliant with the building and plumbing legislation and regulations. As the VBA's participation in previous shows reveals, many visitors are also interested in learning about the qualifications or study requirements to apply for the appropriate registration or licence.

"The show will give the VBA the chance to talk to people about the important changes the industry is going through, including the introduction of new legislation," said VBA Chief Executive Officer Prue Digby.

"The reforms introduce a range of changes and protections for consumers and practitioners, so opportunities to explain them are a key focus for the VBA."

VBA staff will be on hand at the VBA stand to answer questions and provide expert advice and information from Thursday 20 April to Sunday 23 April.
