Product safety recall: Landson 4mm clear toughened glass

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has issued a product safety recall for a specific type of glass supplied by Landson.

The recall covers batches of 4mm clear toughened glass sold between 21 June and 2 August 2019 in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and South Australia.

According to the ACCC, the affected glass may not have been toughened correctly, and may shatter into fragments or particles when broken.

Under the Australian Design Rules, toughened glass must shatter in a specific manner.

The affected glass product was sold through Dowell Windows Pty Ltd and A&L Windows (SA) Pty Ltd.

The ACCC advises anyone who might be affected by this safety recall to contact Landson Glass by emailing glass@landson.com.au or submitting an online enquiry on their website.

Landson will replace all affected products at no cost.
