Show Cause Notices

  • Three show cause notice issued for alleged breaches of the Building Act and the Domestic Building Contracts Act.

Investigations

  • Three warning letters issued.

Levy Audit

  • Fifteen site visits to train building surveyors.

Matters finalised

  • One matter was finalised at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Proactive Inspections

  • 168 inspections across 27 municipalities.
  • Four Building Orders for Minor Works issued.

Plumbing Audits

  • Audits: 78
  • Re-audits: 28
  • Inspections: 12
  • Re-inspections: 4

Statewide Cladding Audit

  • 11 inspections were completed: four within the City of Melbourne and seven in other municipalities.
  • 11 expert panels were held, from which one building was rated Extreme risk, eight were rated High and two were rated Moderate.
  • Eight inspections are scheduled for the week commencing Monday, 5 August 2019.
