Show cause notices

  • Two show cause notices were issued for alleged breaches of the Building Act and the Domestic Building Contracts Act.

Notices of decision

  • One notice of decision was issued for alleged breaches of the Building Act and the Domestic Building Contracts Act.

Prosecutions

  • Five matters were mentioned in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria. All were adjourned to allow the accused to seek legal advice.

Levy audits

  • Eight visits to building surveyors undertaken.

Proactive inspections

  • 280 inspections in 30 municipalities.
  • Three Building Orders for Minor Works issued.
