Why do I need to log in to VBA?

Building practitioners can log in to VBA to:

  • Apply for a new registration
  • Renew your existing registration
  • Pay your annual fee
  • Update your insurance
  • Apply for a building permit
  • Update your contact details

How do I log in to VBA?

Click on the "Log in to VBA" in the header or footer of the VBA website.

You can log in to VBA using your Service Victoria account. If you don't have a Service Victoria account, we'll help you create one.

VBA partnered with Service Victoria to make it simpler and faster for you to log in and to make it easier to verify your identity.

First time logging in?

If you haven't logged in to VBA before:

  1. Click on  “Create an account”, on the Log in to VBA page.
  2. Enter your contact details. We will use these details to match your new account with your existing VBA registrations. Please enter the same details used when working with the VBA in the past.

If your email address doesn't match a Service Victoria account, Service Victoria will need to confirm your contact details. Service Victoria will send security codes to your email address and mobile phone number. Follow the instructions on the screen and enter the security codes when you're asked.

After you've confirmed your contact details, you'll need to create a password for your new Service Victoria account. Make sure it's a unique and secure password.

If your email address matches a Service Victoria account, you'll need to log in to your Service Victoria account to continue.

If you have previously created a VBA account, you'll need to log in to that account to continue. If you've forgotten your password, follow the instructions on the Service Victoria Log in screen to reset your password.
