Build Aware campaign visits Sunraysia
In June, three Victorian regulators, including team members from the VBA, carried out inspections in and around Mildura, as part of the Build Aware campaign.
Inspectors from the VBA, Energy Safe Victoria and WorkSafe were in the community seeking to educate workers and identify safety risks sooner, to ensure the construction industry was meeting its safety and building obligations.
Joint inspections attended by the regulators included an NDIS-funded housing facility under construction in Mildura and several commercial developments throughout the region.
In Mildura, the VBA had a particular focus on inspecting construction work and its alignment with the relevant Bushfire Assessment Levels required and waterproofing.
