Hot water rebate extended to registered plumbing practitioners
Following feedback from the plumbing industry, registered plumbing practitioners are now able to sign-up to participate in the Solar Homes Program hot water rebate stream.
Now, both licensed and registered plumbing practitioners can complete hot water installations under the rebate stream by signing-up with Solar Victoria and scanning customer QR codes.
Licensed plumbers are still required to issue a VBA compliance certificate and must be signed-up to participate.
To sign-up, simply follow the steps on the Solar Victoria website.
Once signed-up, plumbing practitioners must:
- Follow the proper QR code scanning protocol. This means hot water installers scanning the QR code before starting work onsite on the day of an installation.
- Work with an authorised retailer to access rebates for customers.
