Surrender your registration

A building practitioner (individual person or company) may decide to surrender their registration for a range of reasons, including retirement, ill health or change in profession.

• To surrender your individual registration, complete the Surrender of Building Registration Application Form (PDF, 258.53 KB).
• To surrender your company registration, complete the Surrender of Company Registration Application Form (PDF, 249.91 KB).

Save and complete the form on your computer (do not handwrite; it will take longer to process).

You will be required to provide details of your current work practice and how you/ your company intend to manage this once your surrender of registration has been granted by the VBA.

Return your completed form to the VBA.
