Plumbing fees

The following fees apply from 1 July 2020. All fees are exempt from GST.

If the above circumstances apply to you, do not proceed to renew in eToolbox. Instead, email confirmation of your JobKeeper/JobSeeker entitlements from ATO/Centrelink to plumbingreg@vba.vic.gov.au and request that your application or renewal fee be exempt.

JobKeeper

The copy of the JobKeeper/JobSeeker entitlements you provide must be current within a month (JobKeeper)/fortnight (JobSeeker) from when you submit your application for a fee exemption.

For practitioners renewing, you are not eligible to apply for an exemption on a fee until you receive confirmation from the VBA that the relevant fee is due.

Employees:

  • A payslip issued to the employee by the employer that clearly indicates the applicant or practitioner is participating in the JobKeeper scheme. The payslip description should state "JobKeeper" or "JobKeeper – top up"; or
  • A bank statement that indicates JobKeeper payments have been deposited into the account of the applicant or practitioner; or
  • A copy of the employer’s Business Monthly Declaration submitted to the ATO that specifies that the employer is claiming JobKeeper for the employee; or
  • A letter from the employer on company letter head signed by the manager responsible for payroll, outlining whether the applicant or practitioner is currently participating in the JobKeeper scheme.

Employers:

  • A bank statement indicating that JobKeeper payments have been deposited into the account of the applicant or practitioner; or
  • A copy of the Business Monthly Declaration submitted to the ATO.

All applicants and practitioners must attach the PDF version of the Business Monthly Declaration to their email.

JobSeeker

The copy of the JobKeeper/JobSeeker entitlements you provide must be current within a month (JobKeeper)/fortnight (JobSeeker) from when you submit your application for a fee exemption.

For practitioners renewing, you are not eligible to apply for an exemption on a fee until you receive confirmation from the VBA that the relevant fee is due.

  • A bank statement that indicates JobSeeker payments have been deposited into the account of the applicant or practitioner; or
  • A letter from Centrelink outlining the applicant or practitioner is receiving JobSeeker payments. The letter must display a date.

Once the VBA is satisfied that you are eligible, we will contact you via email to confirm that the relevant fee is exempt on this occasion.

After receiving this confirmation, you will need to log back into eToolbox and complete your plumbing accreditation renewal.  You will not be charged in eToolbox once you have received your confirmation of fee exemption from the VBA.
