Yes*. The Plumbing Regulations 2018 make provision for drains that serve other buildings to be laid under another building provided the following conditions are met: The drain is laid as a straight line of drain under the building; The drain has inspection shafts terminating at the finished surface level, installed in permanently accessible positions, in the open air at the upstream entry and downstream exit points of the building; There are no branches or changes in direction in the drain between the inspection shafts.
